The only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask, right :)
Can someone explain the Ranger model letters to me? For example, I see a 620 VS, 620 SVS, and a 620 DVS. I assume the SVS is a single console and the DVS is a dual console. If that is indeed the case, is there really a 620 VS (no console)? Also, what differenciates the dual console individual windshields from a dual console walkthrough windshield, model-wise?

VS is in reference to the transom design for the boats.

You mean DVS is not short-hand for "devious"??? Laughing here. I am considering buying one this spring and I cannot figure the lingo out either!

The VS...VX... just refer to model groups.
VX= Commanche Models
VS= Fisherman Models
S=single console/ D=dual console (for quick refernce..I expect)
Each has it's list of standard features. All else is options.(ie: low profile walk-thru windshield, bubble windshields, etc, etc.)

The VS is for variable setback for the transom I believe, a lot of the Bass boats are also VS models. The VX is a package offered for the high end Ranger Bass rigs mostly the Commanche series from what I could see on their website.

The more xyz's the ranger has on it, the more expensive it is. It's a hidden price tag code.

You are correct, the 620 VS has not console, it's a tiller!

620 VS is a side console.
620 T is the tiller.
Cone on guys, you obviously all have computers. Just go to www.rangerboats.com it's all there.....

My 620T is also a VS,.
Hey guys, T-Mac sells them and is nice enought to spend time here trying to help out. I'm thinking he's probably got the correct answer here.

Thanks, Jim...but I am not correct: Because, only some Commanche are VX. And there are alot of VS boats..both walleye style and bass style.
We sell mostly Fisherman VS.

Not particularily. All the talk about their cost relative to other boats got me curious more than anything. Of course, I'm certainly not opposed to owning one!
On second thought, if you can consider a Boxster, I can certainly consider a 620!!
