Does anyone know for sure how old a 15" walleye is?

It depends on what body of water you are talking about?
The size structure of Walleyes and (all fish for that matter) are dependent on forage base and or climate. Some systems contain high energy bait-fish in abundance creating a rapid growth system.
If I where to give you a general age for a fifteen incher I would say approx. 3-4 years old.

On Lake Erie those fish are either 1998 or 1999 class fish.
I posted another thread minutes ago, before I saw this one :)
Check out this article in the Mpls Star Tribune. It is for the fish in MN for sure, not sure of other places.
