my lms 350 quit working on me so i called to send it in, they told me it would cost $200.00 to fix it.In the manual they say it would only be 89.95, when i said this to them they told me it was because it is a discontinued item.Everything being equal it is still a better deal then there new sonar units. Just beware of this little charge for keeping your units operating.

Either you spend $200 and get the unit back that you are comfortable with or spend another $400-1500 for a newer model and learn all over.

Lowrance did have a "trade-in" program for those units at one time. I am sure someone else here will know the details as to cost and which model replaced it.

However, I love mine and will keep my eyes peeled for a 350A replacement in the event mine ever gives up the ghost.

350a and x-15. i enjoy both of these units. the 350a has been a super unit. unfortunately, my 350 needs some attention also. is it true that the new upgrade price is $200.00?

I hear ya. It's a bummer. However, I think the $200 is a replacement unit all together. So it really is a better deal in the end.

Keep up posted as to your satisfaction or not on this deal.

Did your unit stop scrolling the bottom and start to flash
unrealistic water depths such as several hundred feet?

My unit is doing that and I can only get it to start working
by turning it off and restarting it or by waiting for 10 minutes
or so and then it will sometimes start up all by it's self. I'd
appreciate any ideas as to what could cause this.

I bought my unit about 10 months ago- I wonder if it may still
be under warranty??

mine would start flashing lots of different depths in auto i would switch it to manual and find bottom but it would still read several hundred feet in the upper left corner but in manual i could at least try to find a depth yours should have a one year warranty
