I've been using my X-15 for a couple weeks now, works great, but I know they have upgrades available, I think its 1.0 now. Should I leave well engough alone or go for it, I'm not sure what the upgrades will do for me. Thanks

If I were you the first thing I would do would be to try to get my money back , if that fails then I would upgrade to 2.10, I am totally disatisfied with mine, hooked up the GPS last nite and now that wont work, everything on this unit has been replaced at least once, and I'm on my third 'ducer. GET YOUR FRIGGING MONEY BACK AT ONCE. Wait one year, by then all us poor saps will have LEI's testing done for them, then buy one.
You will want to upgrade to at least the 1.9 vs. You can do this by downloading it throught Lowrances' web site. Takes just a few minutes. Mine works great.

Thanks, Now if I can just get the round thing on my interface unit to fit the flat usb thing on my printer I may get something going, guess they must make an adapter for that somewhere.

I might have misunderstood you but one end of the interface goes into you printer port and the other one goes to the keybord port and the keybord plugs into interface.

LIKE I SAID.... FLINTSTONES<>JETSONS!!
It doesn't use a usb port. it uses the perl. port. there is an adapter for the key board that you will need to use. the port you want to use is the wide 25 pin plug in that's on the back of the computer.

Thanks for the info, I finally borrowed another printer that didn't use the usb port only the serial, I called Lowrance and they suggested I do that. I was told by one of the local computer stores here that there was not an adapter that would work, heck I'm lucky I can turn on a computer let alone figure everything else out. It looks like it worked when I was finished.

Terry you are tough, I did get the download done with the borrowed printer, just seemed odd to me they didn't accomodate the usb ports.
