Fiction? Do you really get the best pricing at boat shows. Is it worth the wait?

There are factory authorized specials, as well as special financing, extended warrantees, gas give aways, and about anything but free kittens offered during the boat show season.

If you are a serious buyer and shop around I would think you'd be able to naerly match that price anytime through the winter months.

If potential problem is motor availability. If there's a shortage then some guys will have to pay more to get exactly what they want.

Now, having said that, I still think the real thing to look at is the dealer. To me good service from a reliable dealership is worth the extra bucks that dealer may want for a rig.

However you decide to proceed, good luck, and good fishing.

I'm not sure if it's the absolute best time but I bought mine at a show. I felt I got a good deal on my boat. (Isn't that the most important - How YOU feel about it?)

The great thing about the show is that you can more easily eliminate certain boats from consideration. I went back and forth to several boats comparing seats, layout, quality, fit, finish, storage, etc... Go on out there and get in those boats. Go on the first day of the show so that you can go back the following day after some reflection.

It worked for me.

Good Luck

This is the best time, now thruogh the first boat show. If the dealer has any last years models they are usally discounted and they ussally will give extra. This year we only have a few 2002 modles left but some have up to $2000 off. And if you are interested in a hot modle like the new 21 TUNDRA if you do not get your order in soon there may be a long wait. Just depends on what you are looking for. Can't say, but you'd do okay shopping right now. I'm looking & can get a hefty manufacturer incentive by acting now. Word of warning, if your future boat needs a 115hp 4-stroke motor, better order now because there's a shortage.
