After several months of watching the high end rods sell for nearly retail on Ebay, I finally outbid a few other low ballers. I got a Legend Elite spinning rod for $205, retails at $300. If you can be patient, your dream rod can be yours at the right price. Can't wait to feel a light jig with it. Kid in the candy store? You betcha!

Great deal! You will love the Elite.
A couple of weeks ago, while fishing mille lacs, I had the Elite rigged up to use as back up for live bait rigging, but I used the old Legend 7'ML fast action most of the time. It wasn't until the last twenty minutes of the second day, of the second tournament up there, that I pulled out the Elite (only because I had finally broken off my No Snagg sinker...lol). I could have kicked myself for not using it earlier. I could feel everything. I didn't have the line in the water more than three minutes and hooked a nice fish. To big to weigh, but it convinced me that this rod could be used for more than just jigging. I had used it before for live bait rigging, but have always been told that the ML is a better rod to use for rigging, so I went with what everyone else uses for live bait rigging..stupid is as stupid does..;-). I will use the Elite for live bait rigging from now on. It's much lighter in the hand, and the sensitivity is superior to any other St. Croix on the market.
I was already convinced that it was a super jigging rod, but now I'm convinced that it is a great all around rod to use for catching walleye. I have used it jigging, rigging, bobbering, and casting cranks with success in each application.

I'm positive you will enjoy yours as much as I do mine!

The Legend Elite is a great live bait rigging rod, I totally agree with you Juls. My brother-in-law was fishing with a couple of my older Legend rods and he broke off the droppers. I told him that I'd re-tie for him and in the mean time he picked up my Elites and used them. The next thing I know, he's saying "man, it's like I can feel every thing on the bottom, gravel, mud, twigs, I think I've got one going..." Brings up a nice 18" fish. That's the last time I volunteer to re-tie for him :-).

Best Regards,

FJH
