I just wanted to say Good Luck to all the competitors of the RCL over at Saginaw Bay!
I'm sitting here wishin' I was there today. With 97 teams jockying for the top 60 positions today, it's going to be interesting to see what the field will look like for tomorrow's event. The top half of the field won't have any problems staying in the cut, but the people who weighed one or two fish yesterday will be working hard today to keep their postitions in the top 60.
Rick Olsen is so far ahead of most of the field right now, that he is going to go prefish today, for Friday's event.
Rick and his partner went out 50 miles to find their fish yesterday. Thunderstorms are predicted for Friday too, so Rick felt it would be wise to find another location and presentation closer to home, and have something worked out in the case of bad weather. Very smart thinking. Gotta admire that..;-)

The RCL should be admired too, for guaranteeing a full field pay-out with only 97 Pros and Co-anglers competing. That jesture just goes to show me that they do care about the future of this sport. By guaranteeing the pay-out, their telling me that they want this circuit to be successful, and are willing to take the chance that there are enough of us out there, that love to tournament fish, to come and compete. Whether it's one event or all 5...Pro or Co-Angler, fishing the RCL's are an experience to remember.

I just looked at day one pictures from Saginaw yesterday, and I almost got in the truck and drove over there today. If I didn't have so many errands to run, I would have gone. Oh well, at least we have the Live Leaderboard here at WC, it's the next best thing to being there!

I agree with you about Operation Walleye making a bold statement by paying the full payout only with a partial field. It makes a statement that they are committed to making this work and they are committed to the anglers. I gives me a lot of confidence in their ability to produce a first class circuit. Wish I was in Saginaw, but I'm looking forward to LaCrosse, hopefully Devils Lake, and Green Bay.

Now when are they gonna do some walleye stuff in that bass magazine for us? LOL
