turning point makes a high performance aluminun prop called The Hustler
does anyone have one and konw anything about them
good or bad ?
they use a seperate hub and blade assembly so if you wreck the prop you just buy a new prop for 60.00 instead of the whole thing for 120.00

thanx

I have been using them for two years now. I am very satisfied with the performance. They are a great choice for us river guys... I'm always eating rocks and the replacement cost is less than a usual repair.

Rebs,
I have one observation that may be relevant to you. In order to achieve the performance (and probably because of the replaceable nature) I believe that the props are a little thinner (they appear to be exact matches of the SS castings, but don't make me swear to that) and therefore are probably not as duarable as an OMC or Merc standard issue aluminum prop. But, I don't mind if when you hit something the "ding" is bigger because I just replace the prop anyway...

I am going top try one of the SS ones in certain circumstances, but not all... Frankly, I like to sacrifice my prop in favor of saving the lower unit.

I feel the same way I would rather bang up a prop than the lower unit
