I am heading up on Friday the 22nd. I have never camped in the area. What is my best bet for camping. We will have one truck camper and one tent. We will need electricity. It looks like Spirit lake has the largest campground. Also we will have two boats. Thanks for any information.

Marble Beach on Big Spirit is a good choice on that lake... Emerson Bay campground is a good choice on West Okoboji. Both sites have good facilities and launch ramps. Steve(IA)

Marble Beach on the west side is definitely the place to camp, we have friends who camp alot and they use this park all the time. This is a state park on the west side of Spirit Lake and has plenty of choices for sites. A boat ramp is on site or if it is too windy to launch on the west side, just south of Marble beach is Templar Park that is in the SW corner of the lake and is a lagoon style so no matter which way the wind blows you can load easily. It is the only place I will launch my boat on Spirit. Marble Beach also has a fish cleaning station that is state of the art with garbage disposal etc. We fish Spirit alot pulling cranks, this past weekend a friend of mine fished it but it was pretty slow. They caught a 25 inch, and 22 inch walleye and didn't see many caught. Weather has kept things messed up I think. Plan on heading there today to see if anything is doing.
