I found a bunch of old style Thundersticks in a variety of colors at 5-Seasons Bait & Tackle, Cedar Rapids. I didn't buy him out:-)and it appears he has a couple hundred left. The owner's name is John and he'll ship if needed. Give him a call if you're interested 319-362-0544. Good Luck

John was very freindly, ask with size and patterns I was looking for, took my # and called me back(long distance) within 20 minutes. He was out of the patterns I was looking for but he still had a lot remaining.

I have 13 of them for sale if anyone is interested. I bought a whole bunch of them and my wife is giving me gruff about all these lures I have still in the box, so I am selling my doubles if anyone is interested. I have mix of thunderstick and thunderstick jr. All I want to get is what I put into them, which is $4 a piece. I can email anyone some pics if they are interested. Otherwise I will dig a hole in the back yard and bury them until she forgets. just drop me line at greggb@yahoo.com

Isn't it sad, surreal and bizarre in this age of scientific marketing, that, as consumers, we are hungry for a product that is no longer manufactured? What are the folks at Rapala thinking? Will they, one day, re-issue "the classic" Thunderstick at a premium price? My local tackle shop has offered T-Sticks in a bargain bin. His wholesaler is "dumping" outdated stock and I've been able to load up on originals at under $3.00 per!!! Some really nice patterns and amny of them include lead dots. As I write this, his current stock has been dramatically depleted, but if this opportunity resurfaces, watch this post and I'll have a phone number for anyone in search of original T-Sticks. Meanwhile, check the smaller shops that are less likely to turn over a lot of inventory.
