I am just starting to look at Ranger Boats and I would say there is a good chance that there will be a 619VS in my future. Their web page has a feature where you can custom design the colors of the boat and trailer. There is an incredible number of potential combinations and I can see where a guy could maybe mess up on the choices and be disappointed when the boat arrives. I simply want to know, what is the most awesome color pattern combination you have ever seen on a Ranger? What colors did you have put on your Ranger boat and trailer? I tried to get some idea from looking at Ranger pictures in the classifieds and some really stand out while others do not(somehow I can't picture myself in that yellow butterboat). I appreciate your help in picking a great color combo.

HAJ -

Color choice is highly dependent on personal taste - I am a fan of blue and my 619 is blue and white... Some match their tow vehicle, others work with their favorite colors, etc... A great place to narrow down your choices is a 2003 Ranger catalog - most of the boats featured have a color option number or letter behind them. Find one that's close to what you want and make any changes on Ranger's website.

If you don't have a catalog, give Ranger a call at 870.453.2222 and they will send one out to you.

Good luck with your choice,

Got a saphire blue one myself; matches the Evinrude on back, and my truck that pulls it...

What ever you decide, I'd suggest picking a color that you like! You will spend more time in there than anyone and enjoying the color will make it more enjoyable (what a concept)...

On a different note, decide what motor you'd like to own (merc, yam, rude, or other) and match the boat colors to the motor's colors. It makes the package look better and ups the resale. Also, (my opinion) keep the interior light colored. Dark Gray/Red/Blue carpets get really hot when its 90F and sunny... Not to metention what they look like laced with worm bedding. White decks are cool also.

Good luck!

Oh yea, is the butter boat really that bad??? I thought it was pretty cool... not for me though.

this is where you should trust your gut and dont let the wife get involved in the decision. I wanted a white hull with black/gold top and stripes and camel carpet. but had to comprimise and go with a white hull, dark blue top and grey carpet. it still looks great and the wife is happy. aw heck. what am I complaining for. I still have my 619. I guess color doesnt matter....as long as its a Ranger, and the wifes happy.

Picking my colors was harder than picking the boat a 620T. Winter Green Mist Hull, Everglade Green Bottom, Mica Mist 1 & 3 Strips, Platinum Mist #2 Stripe, Mica Mist Interior, Mica Carpet & Upolstery, Sunfire Mist Pinstripes. The wife helped me pick the colors, they are sweet and match the truck. I spent a lot of time on the Ranger Web site pickign colors.

Lighter colors like mica mist for example or any of the grey or golden flake colors look clean even when they are a little dirty and don't show finger prints that well. The darker colors also look very good but show the road wear a little more. If you are one who loves to wash and care for your boat there is no bad color combination! Enjoy, either way you will love the boat.
