What are your opinions of this 100% flouro line? I bought the 15# test. Does it have good abrasion resistance? Anyone have any problems with it?

I had some really good flourocarbon line that I used last year for tying harnesses (17#), but I seemed to have misplaced the spool, and I can't remember the name of the line I used. (Yeah Den, you don't have to say it...I know it's a sign of getting old..heheh)

At .15 cents a foot, I'm hoping this P-line isn't a waste of money.

"Thanks" in advance for your help.

Juls,
What you had was probably Seagaur (sp?). And what you have is just as good. Just make sure to really slobber up the knots. I use both interchangably, but in 25# test for Dipsy leaders. Good luck.

No, I know it wasn't Seagur, which I would have bought if the store I was in had carried it. That name I could remember. I had something else that worked really well. Maybe someday I will recognize it somewhere??

Thanks for the info Jim. I appreciate it! I'll let you know how it works for me next week.

Juls:
P-line is great. I used the fluro coated line last week on Georgian Bay--tons of shoals and zebra mussels and the line performed tremendously. It's tough stuff. my buddy was having all kinds of problems w/ Stren until he stripped his reels and tried P-line. He raved about it, as do my bass tournament buddies, who converted to this line from Trilene. I highly recommend it. And I have no affiliation w/ this company by the way. Just a guy who tries to slug his way to a few eyes for a couple weeks a year(unfortunately).good luck

When I couldn't get Seaguar fluorocarbon last year, I tried P-Line and found that it worked for me as well as the Seaguar. ETT is right on the money with the 25# test for walleyes. White bass have a tough time twisting these leaders. In my experience, Stren and Vanish fluoro are to be avoided like the plague.
Good luck, Frank

Juls, If your gonna use this flourocarbon for a jigging line try some 8 or 10lb test Seaguar CarbonPro Flourcarbon line. Ive caught one 5lb and one 7lb Northern. also a 10lb carp on it. I like mine allot and havent snapped since you told me what knot to use.

When I fished silver salmon in Alaska last summer the guide we were with told me that he had switched to this new P-Line and thought it was pretty great stuff. This is a guy who guides every day during the summer and who seemed to be concerned with putting quality gear in his customers hands (he also had us using St Croix rods). I know we certainly had no problems with it and caught a lot of salmon that put on an excellent fight.
I would have no problem using this line again but am wondering how it would stack up against the fireline I am currently using and really like!

Thanks for all the replies fellas! I'm just going to be using this line for tying up some crawler harnesses. I just wanted to know what kind of reputation it has, and it seems to have a pretty good one. Cool...;-)

Thanks again!

Juls,
As I see it there are at least 3 diferent P-Line products being discussed here. The C-XXX Extra strong, Carbon pro, and the one you asked about(CFX flourocarbon). It sounds as though each one is being utilized appropriatly, but there is not 1 line to cover all these situation, as I am sure you are quite aware. ( Really this is to short stop any potential confusioned caused, I know you know better). Good luck with your harnesses.
