Because there is no vertical strut/channel L to screw a rod holder in place on the back end of the rod compartment I was wondering if someone could post how they configured or if they purchased a commericial item so rods could be positioned and secured rather than just layed on top of each other in the Rod compartment.
Thank you

i use rodsocks to keep the rods from tangling. i've been laying my rods ontop of each other for 14+ yrs and have not had a problem. i don't just trow them in there, i am careful. in my crestliner rod locker i have 12 rod/reels and 6 more up in the side compartment.
hope that helps

I cut out a section of thick stryrofoam to fit in the front part of the locker and then I put golf club tubes in the styrofoam. I even painted the stryrofoam black. It looks pretty profesional like the ones you see in a tournament series boat. I was able to only put five tubes in it. The best part is that now I can throw my rod holders in the port side bow storage on top of the rod tubes - saving valuable storage space.

I use rod socks too. I might have to try Walleyeman's idea though.
I also use a Cabelas Quick Stow Rod Rack Deluxe while I'm out on the water to quick change rods. I mounted two additional pedestal bases so I can have four chairs on the lower deck and the fifth base holds the Rod Rack. I also use the additional rod holder while trolling.
