My dad and I are leaving on a 2 day fishing excursion to alexandria this week. Just wondering how the fishing has been-What has been biting? On what and where? Were planning to be on maple lake if there is good fishing, but will move around to find better fishing.
Thanks again, MarbleEye's

Call Christopherson's Bait. They've got a pretty good handle on what's happening in the region.

I don't know from a personal experience but, I have heard that Reno is on fire right now. Lots of 20 inchers in that lake! (I'm assuming your talking about eyes). Good Luck! EE

I fish Miltona a lot and the eyes were up on the shallow flats by shore and the main flat at night. Caught most of them on gold bagley bangs shallow runner cranks but any gold shallows would work. Troll the edges in 8 to 10 ft. During the day they are in the cabbage or up on the 10 ft humps. also try deep points for the piggys.
Great lake and have fun.
Miltona is 15 miles north on hwy 29.

You got it! My dad caught a 26.5" a 24"and I caught a 22". This was mid morning, we headed back home around 2:30.
We didnt catch anything the first day, but this made up for it in a big way. Now I just have to cary the pictures around and hold my head high. Thanks for the info, MarbleEye's
