I had to get my trailer tires replaced after about 55,000 miles.(about 5 years) The old set was Goodyear Marthon ST205/75/14's. The dealer in my area was out of these tires but had the Carlisle tires in stock. I had to replace them as these tires where down to the nub and I'm headed out for another long haul fishing trip. I was stunned when I paid for these tires ST215/75/14's. Only $122.00 mounted and balanced. Has anyone else used these tires? Will they hold like my Goodyears did? If these tires hold up I'm going to rack this up as one of the bargains of the year.....
Dutchman,
I've owned Carlisle Tires before. They are OK but they sure as heck won't give you anywhere near 55,000 miles. However, you'll get what you paid for as they're not junk. At least mine were'nt.Now speaking of junk, don't buy Titan's.

I AM ON MY SECOND SEASON WITH CARLISLE TIRES. I RUN ON A HEAVY BOAT AND TRAILER PACKAGE. I PUT A LOT OF MILES ON MY RIG AND THE CARLISLES SO FAR HAVE GIVEN ME NO PROBLEMS. MY TRAILER CAME WITH TITANS. (NOT GOOD) I REPLACED WITH GOODYEARS. (NOT GOOD) I WILL PURCHASE THEM AGAIN WHEN I NEED TIRES. I HOPE THIS IS HELPS YOU OUT AND GOOD LUCK.

Sounds like a ripoff of 60 bucks per tire.

I would have to agree that $61 per tire is NOT a great price. About what I would expect to pay on short notice in addition to having them mounted and balanced. You should be able to get Marathons for nearly the same price. I hope they are equal quality to the Goodyears. I am not a Goodyear supporter in general but have had extremely good luck with the Marathon.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Carlisle tires!
They have very durable and reliable tread. Just about every tire manufacturer out there, produces a few bad ones once in while! (just ask Firestone!) :-) I've had Carlisles for three seasons on a smaller rig and they still look like new. Good luck with your new skins! EE

I was comparing $61.00 per tire mounted and balanced verses $85.00 for the Goodyears(this is what I paid when I had them mounted, still have the receipt). I appreciate all the replies and will post if these tires turn into lemons :)
