Auto-pilot/Batteries/Connectors.

I just recieved my 55 Auto-pilot today. What is the best way to connect the second battery in parallel to my first battery? I would appreciate feedback on the best type of connecors to connect positive to positive and neg. to neg. I understand that 6 gauge braided wire is what's required, and when I charge them up, I just need to connect one battery and it will charge the other one... right???

I used regular battery cables that were made to fit over the bolt post and connected on with a wing nut. they sell them at all the auto parts stores and they come in just about any length you need.

Charging will take twice as long.Neg to neg and pos to pos for 12 volts, then connect trolling motor to one of the batteries.
