I KNOW SOMEBODY WILL TELL ME THAT I ONLY HAVE ONE OAR IN THE WATER BUT WHEN YOU ARE USING LINDY'S NO-SNAG RIGS IT MIGHT BE WISE TO USE A MARKER AND COLOR THE TIPS BLACK. DURING MY TRIP TO LOW THIS YEAR I WAS BITTEN OF ABOVE THE SWIVEL A NUMBER OF TIMES AND THE ONLY CONCLUSION I CAN COME UP WITH IS THAT THE PIKE ARE HITTING THE NEON COLORED TIPS OF THE SINKERS. WHEN I STARTED USING THE RATTLING SINKERS WITH THE SOLID BLACK COLOR THE BITE OFFS STOPPED. FOOD FOR THOUGHT EVEN THO IT SOUNDS KIND OF STUPID.

I believe the same thing happened to me last week. I was using the original walking sinkers for lindy rigs, but I had a gold bead on between the weight and the swivel. I am almost positive it was a bite off with the line freyed like it was. It was very unusual. I am almost embarrassed to report this. I am sure it was not due to abrassion/not retieing though.

There are some lakes here in Canada where you can't use a three way rig because of pike. I have no idea what a pike sees in a plain lead 2 oz bell sinker but I've reeled many of them right up to the boat and they wouldn't let go.
