Went out boating the other day and wouldn't you know it, I blew a mufflerbelt, man what a bad day that was. Has anyone had other "weird" parts go bad.

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT....

GOT TO THE RAMP THE OTHER DAY, LAUNCHED, AND PARKED THE RIG. HOPPED IN THE BOAT FOR A DAY OF RELAXATION. WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT,DEAD AS A HAMMER, NOTHING , NADDA, ZIP. WINCHED BACK ON THE TRAILER AND OFF TO THE DEALER. THREE HOURS LATER THE MECHANIC GAVE ME THE BAD NEWS. "WELL," HE SAYS, "YOUR CARBURATOR AIN'T CARBIN', YOUR SPARK PLUGS AIN'T SPARKIN', AND YOUR PISTONS AIN'T...WELL THEY AIN'T WORKIN'EITHER. BESIDES THAT, YOU NEED A NEW GYROFLAGELLATOR AND A MUFFLERBELT.

While changing the winter air in my tires this spring, I did notice that my headlight fluid was slightly low. It wasn't until I had rotated my turnsignal bulbs that I also noticed a muffler bearing that had gone bad. That dang suburban is nickle and diming me to death! :)

Don't forget to check the blinker fluid too!

Once a long time ago, my bull gear jumped the heffer and broke the tickle pin. Luckily my girlfriend kept her head and blew my whistle. The D.N.R. guys always turn up when she does that. :o

Last fall I forgot to winterize a box of crankbaits w/ rattles inside (Thundersticks & Wally Divers). The Wally Divers came through the winter just fine, but when I snapped on a Thunderstick (new type, of course) last month, no rattle! So I tried another. . .same deal.

I took the whole mess (30-plus Thundersticks) to my mechanic, and he determined that by not changing the lubricant, the rattles had frozen (rusted together). It cost $5.50 per bait to have the rattles replaced. ;-)
