i am looking for a 17' walleye boat, but don't have the money for a glass boat. wondering which aluminum boats you guys think is the most versatile as far as ride, fishing , and storage. i have looked at fischer, crestliner, princecraft, tracker, and lund. i really like the princecraft 178dlx superpro but i don't know anyone who has a princecraft.thanks for the help.

Why would you not consider Alumacraft? They make a very good hull and are comparable to Lunds for slightly less money...
You might check the archives, I think very similar post or two within last couple of months. I have a 16.5' Alumacraft Navigator. The boat you are describing is more like 18', isn't it? So, mine probably isn't comparable to what you are looking at, although Alumacraft has models up in class and length. I love the layout and had a dealer relatively close, that's what made my decision, plus not so big I had to spend a fortune on a motor.

I know Tracker has had problems in the past. But I'll put my Targa 17 walk-thru up against any 17 foot aluminum boat at any price.

I have been doing research and found crestliner all welds to be best buy. There are 2 dealers in Ohio I know of and the quality is great.I was told they are made by same makers as Ranger boats.Check out the website,my second choice was Trtions new deep v aluminum boat, very comparable.Buckeye Outdoors in Buckeye Lake has a 17' show special with a 90 horse for $16,500 complete.Looks very nice
