I finally ordered a new boat Skeeter ZX 2050. Bow mount 74# max., T -8 kicker, bass seat up front and casting platform in back. I only got the 200 efi I couldn't see paying another 1800 for the hpdi but it would of been nice. I hope the 200 is enough motor seeing its rated for a 250 I don't need to go 80 mph. I fish for walleyes most of the time but also like to fish bass and pan fish. Now I have to put my ranger 680 T up for sale.

Congatulations, I'm still "Patiently" (kinda sorta) waiting to get my hands on mine so I can rig it. The 225 EFI was pushing that boat to 58-60mph, so I'm sure the 200 will keep you in the 50's. I ordered mine with the 250 HPDI, don't know what that's gonna get @ WOT. T-8 kicker also. I looked at alot of boats before I decided on the ZX2050. I just liked the layout better than the others. I've yet to hear a major complaint from a 2050 owner. That say's alot too. I'm tellin my buddy's to stock up on Deet, cuz there's gonna be a Skeeter buzzin' them. Enjoy.

Not trying to burst your bubble but I was talking to the skeeter reps and a few shows and they all said 54-57mph gps with the 250 EFI, 52-55 with the 225.

I have a ZX2050. With a 225 VMAX, a 9.9 kicker, Maxxum 36 volt bowmount, (3 deep-cycle batteries + a starting battery). Me at 210 lbs, and family total of 400 more lbs, full load of fuel and cooler with drinks and food etc etc. I had a 23 pitch Yamaha pro series and was consistently running 55 to 57 (GPS) on Fort Peck last June. You will truly enjoy you boat. As Dutchman said, Everyone that owns one loves them. There will always be people to "throw rocks" at another brand because they have a favorite boat. Take it with a grain of salt and have fun with your new ride.

It's a very good rig. As far as the speed is concerned, it's very important that you get the right prop. Most long shafts have been coming with the saltwater prop. I think this may be the slowest prop. At least get the Pro Series and then have the dealer be flexible enough to try any prop you can get your hands on including Tempest from Merc. You may be surprised at the difference. Have fun with your 2050.
