Minnkota universal sonar transducer VS Lowrance transducer

I am putting a Lowrance X-97 on the bow and have the universal sonar on my Minnkota 65ap. Was wondering if the internal universal sonar transducer would perform as well as the supplied Lowrance transducer attached on the external. Thanks.

Steve, I have a 65 AP and ran a x-85 on it last year. I saw no difference in the trolling motor transducer to the factory one. It worked really well. This year I will be running a x-15 on it and hope to get the same performance.
