Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the Lund Fisherman say the 20 footer and a Tyee 1950? Ride, price, fishability?

I believe it would be air ride seats, standard sun top with side curtains and bow cover, better livewell plumbing and bigger size (plumbing meaning autotimed airiator and empty from the dash), different instrument cluster and a little built in tackel storage. There are a few other things mostly in the lines of fit and finish but the big things to me would be the livewells and the air ride seats.Jason

I was told the hulls are basically the same. The only differences is the carpet (LUND spelled down the middle), better (Plush) seats, different dash clusters, the above mentioned items with the live wells, and, depending on the dealer, 5k - 10k difference in price.

I looked at both and the Mrs. insisted on the Tyee........ok sure honey we'll buy it. The difference I found was the padded bow,pro seats, better grade carpet, and I believe the 25" transom.....mine is a 1850. The tops of the gunwales also had a rounded edge rather than a sharper edge. It also included the top set and bow cover. Interior amnenties were nicer too. If it was me just fishing and I didn't have the extra money the Fisherman would be just fine. Good luck, both are nice boats.

IPS II is not available for the Tyee 1950 or Pro-V 1800/1775, however. Only the Tyee 1850, Pro-V 2025 and Pro-V 1900 have IPS II according to my 2003 brochure.

The IPS2 hull IS available in the Tyee 1950, but in the limited. I picked mine up today. With the Ltd. you also get a 98" beam and air ride seats.

I was under the impression that the Tyee has a stronger hull, more stringers, etc than the Fisherman. In other words, there's more to it than just fit and finish. Can anyone confirm this??

I don't believe so. Each have IPS hulls. Tyee may offer IPSII in some sizes but otherwise, each have the IPS hulls which are rated for the same amount of abuse.

There are differences but un a nutshell - the Tyee is more "cushy" and expensive than the Fisherman.

I have a Tyee and do get use out of some of that cushy-ness - the padded bow especially. I'm assuming it still works this way but the signature package added to the Tyee brings in some bigger features like hydraulic steering.
