i was wondering about these lures. they look good, but do they work? under what conditions? i bought another one that is called the rattle somthing? can't remeber. just wanted to know the overall opinion of these storm lures. also, i am looking for the deepest diving crank. rapala deep down? RS? little help here!

A well tuned Reefrunner will go about as deep as any of them and be very effective while it's down there. The old storm lures are legendary, and I have caught fish with the new models offered. They actually look like a Walleye Demon,with a similar dive curve and good action, the crawdad color with the flame sides seemed to work the best. Bomber 7a's will go down to about 30' with lots of line out at 2.5-3 mph. There are several others that dive deep, but I have not had great success with them. You should buy a Precision Trolling manual before investing in new cranks, using the info from this book (about the price of 3-4 cranks) and purchase the cranks that will go down to the zone you want to hit longlining, and it has info for snap weights and leadcore also. Never leave home without it......
