Does anybody know if Eagle makes a trailer for the Javelin/Stratos 21MSX? I love the boat and motor but the trailer that came with the Javelin is a piece of junk in my opinion (maybe that's too harsh). I'd like to replace it with a galvanized Eagle trailer (Marlin model) this season or another quality trailer such as a Shorelandr if I can't get an Eagle. Thanks!

Give them a shout. I've always found them more than happy to address questions.

Hi John,
Looking to ditch the trailer eh? Same here when I get my boat. I had an Eagle trailer for my Alumacraft and it was great. The fit and quality was much better than the Javelin/Stratos trailer. Eagle sent out someone to measure the boat (from what the Alumacraft dealer told me is that Eagle doesn't make them ahead of time) so the trailer fits the boat exactly. They are made here in Michigan and I'm planning on calling them after I get the boat. By the way it's at the dealership now so it shouldn't be long.
When I was at Cabelas last saturday I saw a Swivl-eze seat post the would fit the Javelin/Stratos 21 MSX. They only had one and I wish I would have bought it. It was just like the posts that I had in the Alumacraft as they are adjustable for height. I called Swivl-eze today and the person told me that they still make them and that I would have to go through Cabelas or another dealer to purchase them. The posts are not in the Cabelas catalog or Bass Pro so I called the Cabelas in Dundee and the salesman couldn't find it. When I head to Wonderland Marine to pick up my boat I'm planning on stopping to Cabelas to check into getting them for the boat. I knew you had some problems with yours and if I can get them, I will send you a note on what I found out. Good luck on getting your trailer.

Scott,

Let me know how you make out with the seat posts. I'm definitely interested. Also, maybe if we keep in touch about the trailer it may be more incentive for Eagle to build a couple especially if they know they have a few customers who want one. My concern is that you have to buy the Javelin/Stratos trailer and I can't believe that many people would be willing to spend the money to upgrade since the 21MSX model is only a couple of years old. You would think that they would have to build a certain number to make it worthwhile. Let me know if you hear anything.

Scott,

I spoke with Eagle today and they said they don't have a pattern for the boat but they will find a similar boat locally and take measurements in order to build a custom triler. It sounds like we may be in business! I have a call into a local dealer and he's going to contact Eagle and get back to me with pricing.

John,
I also talked to Dawn from Eagle today and that's the same answer that I received. She did mention that there may be an added expense in that the boats are not on their list but she also said that if the boats are current they may waive the extra cost. Just like in your note, Dawn also said that we would have to purchase them from an Eagle dealer....we cannot buy direct. If you would, let me know what your dealer has to say.
