This is not a question but merely a found this works memo.
I purchased a Catch cam about 2 months ago and really like it a lot. I used a heavy duty plastic cup with a slot cut in it and bolted to the Johnny Ray mount for a camera holder. I had inserted a ring of rubber hose in the bottom of the cup to protect the camera but it fell out somewhere and was not noticed. The camera plastic front was scuffed so it was not usable at all by the bottom of the cup and maybe some road grit or dust.
I tried car finish buffing compound but it still left a haze which caused the camera to have a cloudy picture.
I finally went to the hardware store and they had a nice assortment of dremel tools which includes an arbor with a screw in the end and some small buffing pads. They also had a jewlers rouge for plastic that was made by Dico part # PBC.
I polished the tip of the camera and used Mcguires plastic wax when finished and it turned out crystal clear.
I only had a drill so if you use a dremel I would be careful on how fast you spin it because plastic will burn very easily and you will have a worse problem than you started with.
I also inserted into the plastic cup a Walleye Central can cooler that pads and protects the business end of the camera.

Hope this helps someone in the future.
