I'm going to be purchasing a 90 HP tiller and would appreciate any input possible as I compare the 4 stroke Suzuki and Yamaha. I've heard the Suzuki is bullet proof and trolls down very well. I've also heard good things about the Yamaha but that they've had some oil leakage problems. Any websites to find good purchasing deals would be appreciated.
I have also heard good things about the Suzuki. You can do a search here or try www.thehulltruth.com, go to the boating section then do a search on Suzuki. From everything I have read EFI in a four stroke is the way to go.
You are right about the Yamaha problems.It's not only the gas in oil problem that washes down the cylinders but the carbs have a very small jet in them that is prone to plugging.Most of the time mechanic in the can WILL NOT fix it meaning your in for another $200-$300 bill.
Your best chance for trouble free operation in that class would be Suzuki or Honda.Good Luck
