View Full Version : Ranger 690V
A local dealer has a 1995 690V with a 150 Mariner, hyd steering, gps, troll motor and tandem axle trailer for $13,995. Is this too much money? Does anyone have experience with this particular model boat? Thanks.

Dan, I think 13,900 isn't such a bad deal for the boat your looking at. I have a 99 model with an added kicker and that's probably worth 20,000-21,000 or so. You have the tandem axle trailer which is a plus in my book. Some guys would argue about your 150hp mariner for a couple of reasons. 1) that boat handles a 175hp max and most people like to max out the boat. 2) they might be worried about it being a mariner motor, but I'am not. If the boat looks real clean and not beat up I don't think you will get a better deal than what your describing. It's a ranger and that's always good in my book!!!

Dan,
That does not sound like to bad of a price. I had a 93 loaded with a 150EFI Mercury and the 175's could not pull away from me. Don't worry about the Horsepower. It comes down to alot of factors....Prop, amout of fuel, weight.

Thanks for the info. I'm interested in any info on this model boat.
