After what seems like 8 months rather than 8 weeks, my boat has finally arrived at the dealer. They still need to rig it but I should have it by the weekend. Here is the run down: 1800 Pro-V with dual console, black and silver (with grey carpet), fourth AirRide seat, hydraulic steering, 175 Merc EFI, Laser II SS prop and Heritage Custom Bunk trailer (Black) w/ load guides, spare tire and surge brakes. Once I get ahold of it I will be adding the following: MinnKota AP65 (60" shaft) w/Universal Sonar, MinnKota CoPilot, Retractable/removable Tmotor mount, Ram Tmotor bracket, Lowrance X-16CI w/gps at console, Garmin GPSMAP 168 at bow, 6 Cabelas QuickDraw rod holders, Cabelas Pro Sport 20 Plus battery charger and custom travel cover. I still need to figure out what I want to do for a kicker and then I will be able to order my Wave Wackers.

The first six weeks went by pretty fast since the water was still hard around here, but the last two have been real tough.

Thanks to all who post on this website, it helped me with several of my decisions.

Congrats on the new boat, you should love it. I just bought a new one too, it will be ready 4-15 and I can't think about anything else. I got the 1850 Crestliner Sportfish with a 140 Johnson 4 stroke, 65lb minkota co-pilot, x-97 Lowrance, wave wackers, top set, and a swing away trailer with brakes.

I am way too pumped for the both of us.

Congrats again,

Ole

Thanks. Congrats on your new rig also. I stopped by the dealer the other day to get a sneak peak. They had just pulled the plastic off the boat and was getting ready to set it on the trailer. I am to the point that everytime the phone rings, I am thinking it's the dealer. I have waited years to be able to get a new rig and I guess a couple more days shouldn't kill me (or maybe it will).

Cooker,

I'm jealous! lol Got my 1800 last June. Be sure to take the time and make sure the boat was rigged and wired properly. (I made the mistake of not checking thoroughly.)

Looks like an awesome boat. Enjoy!

I am also waiting "impatiently" for my Pro V 1800 SE to arrive. I think I have another two weeks. Paint date is 4/15. Your set up sounds great, I'm sure you will enjoy your rig for years to come. Hope to see you on the water...

I understand the anticipation in waiting for a new boat to arrive -- I did this for the first time last year. I wore out my Lund catalog since I had to take another look at it each night before I could get some sleep :-) It seemed to take forever, but it was worth the wait!

One thing you may want to consider is to take some photos of the boat when it is brand new and the rigging is done. I have posted several pictures of my boat here in hopes that I helped other people with rigging ideas... Also, I got my first scratch at the dock just a couple weeks later, but I still had a record of what she looked like brand new!

Congrats on the new boats, everybody!

I'm still 4 weeks away but hearing everyone's story make it sound more like 4 months as well! It's nice to hear I'm not the only one spending a little dough these days.
I bought a 1675 Lund Explorer Tiller w/ 60HP Merc 4-stroke EFI on a 2300lb Yacht Club Bund Trailer. Boat is black/silver w/ Midnight Star(grey) carpet.
Minnkota 55lb 54"shaft Powerdrive. Onboard Charger.
3 Air Ride Seats. Pinpoint 7420, Scotty flush mount Rod Holders, Foot Trim, Lund Cover, Spare Tire/carrier.

Still waiting to order the wave wackers or walleye masters in the next few days.
Thanks to everyone for all of your help and congrats to those of you who are getting a new rig.

Sweet! Waiting for the boat is only second to waiting for your first born.
Enjoy

Everybody,

At the risk of beating a dead-horse, here is the URL to my new boat pix I took last year for an example of what I was talking about. This album has had 7312 hits since I posted it last June and I've referred to it over and over answering questions on this board:

http://www.pbase.com/cyberslave/new_lund

I guess I'm going to change the album's name from "new_lund" to "nearly_new_lund" :-) now.

Anyway, enjoy your boats and have fun!

I was supposed to pick mine up tomorrow and the dealer just called and blamed Johnson for sending him the wrong motor. It will be at least another week. I am very annoyed. I bet the dealer screwed up and ordered the wrong engine.

Oh Yeah, I know what you guys are all going through. I pick up my new Lund 1775 on 4/19. Man, this has got to be the longest winter I've ever had. I've got the Guest charger, the graph, the rod holders etc. to put on and can't wait. I've arranged and re-arranged the tackle boxes about 10 gazilon times already. Come eeeeeeee ONnnnnnnnnnn Spring.

Just picked up the new boat today. I like the color even better than I imagined. Started rigging the rest of the stuff this afternoon. Should have a few days to get it done since they are predicting 8" - 10" of snow here in the next couple of days. Congrats to all of the others that have/are getting new rigs. Looks like there will be a lot of nice boats pursuing 'eyes this year.

My 2003 1900 Pro-V. I sat in my boat in the garage all afternoon. Took long enough!!!!
