I have a lowrance 350A and it seems when the sun is glaring I can't read it, (quite discouraging) the unit was on the boat when I bought it. If anyone has or had this problem what was the cure.

Have you tried adjusting the contrast? If your wearing polarized sunglasses this will cause poor visibility of the screen at an angle. If it's blacking out put a wet towel on it for a couple of minutes to cool it down. If none of the above send it back to Lowrance...

good answer dutchman...

polarized sunglasses give me fits when i try to read any of
my electronics...from depthfinder to the l.e.d. readout
on my marine band radio...i need to look over the top of
the glasses or take them off to check things out.

You should ask your twin brother to give you his. Good luck

I have a 350A called factory for help found out the unit is heat sensative screen goes blank on sunny days. My cheap fix was to take a shopping bag cut hole in bag to see screen. Put bag over unit to keep sun off.I have walk thru windshield it magnifies the heat of the sun on the unit!!! The bag does the trick and it is cheaper than sending the unit in again.Hope this helps you out. Grape Juice
