View Full Version : Dumb question
Ok, I know I will use my Pro V for 99.9% fishing only. But the wife wants to ski behind it every once in awhile. She asked a good question I thought, how the heck does she get back into the boat after she is done skiing? Just climb up by the motor? Does it sit low enough to climb up over the side? Should I install a ladder? Sorry, first boat and all... =)
Thanks,
Foz

Just drag her to shore. Don't make it too much fun, or she will want to use your 'fishing' boat too much :)

They make ladders that you just unfold and hook over the edge of the boat. I don't really recommend it, but you can shut off the motor and climb up it too. (I have done this, but it gives me the creeps)

Did you get your boat? As to your question I carry a swim ladder in my boat in case I fall overboard and am too old to crawl over the motor.

buy a Ladder. Don't climb up using the motor If you slip you could cut yourself pretty bad. I have seen this happen.
Hey it's just a Boat!!!!!

Brack, if you are fishing by yourself, who will put the ladder over the gunnel for you, or do you put it there whenever you fish just in case?
LOL--just trying to be funny.
I'll find a ladder to throw over the side. Thanks all!
YES! I GOT MY BOAT! Just in time for the 8 inches of snow that fell.

I put the ladder where it is easy to reach as I know my dog and wife won't help me back into the boat!

Just shorten the rope, slam on the brakes and she will end up in the front seat.
