Hello, I finally got my first boat. I got a 2000 Tracker Pro Deep V-16 with a 2001 Mercury 50hp 2-cycle motor. Since I saved some money by purchasing a used boat, I have some cash left over for accessories. What would you suggest I get? Any advice on accessories or any information on this boat would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How much $ do you have left?.....I guarantee it's never enough. Rather than get "accessories", wich is never-ending by the way, you are better off giving your rig the once over and see what, if anything needs replacing. How 'bout aerators? bilge pumps? switches? seat mounts? pedestals and seats? lights? gauges? trolling motor? prop? batteries? electronics? VHF radio? etc., etc..Get your boat solid first..then splurge. And believe me, there's always time to splurge on your boat.
Good fishing!

Great nothing like a new boat!! now you'll need a sonar unit or two and a GPS would be nice, do you have a bowmount trolling motor how about a kicker motor, now lets get some downriggers and/or outriggers.Don't forget your safety kit and a tool kit an extra prop's also a good idea.Life vests and throw cushions are a must................Just the start it never ends Good luck.Almost forgot an anchor is a real good idea have fun.

i would stash a couple hundred for a rainy day. just when you think your rig is ready to go , something will pop up and cost you money. $50.00 towing insurance wil save you hundreds if you ar on the great lakes.a friend used his towing insurance twice in one summer on a brand new boat... faulty gas gage just a thaught and good luck...
