Those of you that purchased these nets form WalMart, How did you mount them on your boat? With the sheet metal screws, adhesive or some other method? I have a 16 ft. Pro-V tiller. I'm leaning toward the sheet metal screws. Top 2 screwed into the rubrail and the bottom 2 into the raised casting deck. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1660 ProV Tiller and I installed my top holders under the rub rail with the double sided tape, and the bottom holders in the floor with the screws. Since the nets are a little longer than my space, I also installed hooks under the rub rail with double sided tape to hook the middle of the net to. It takes up the slack and provides some extra security from stuff blowing out.

I used the sheet metal screws in my V166SC Warrior. The boat is a single console. I mounted nets both port and starboard, but ended up removing the port(left) side net because I didn't really need that much storage and it would sometimes get in the way. With the remaining net, I'm able to store a rigging bag, plastics bag, extra clothing, etc. I haven't run into a situation where I've needed more room. It holds everything secure - even at highway speeds. No more worrying about stuff blowing out of the boat while under way!

You might want to consider just putting in one also. See if you need more than that before mounting a second one.

Hey Steve, the more I can carry on board the better. You know how it goes. When you need that certain rarely used fishing item, you find that you left it in the truck. I'm not berateing your post. Its just the way I am. I even built a rod locker in that space under the electronic compartment extending from the front casting deck to the rear livewell on my Pro-V to carry all the rods I think I might need. If my boat ever sank I'd be finnished. I got original Rapalas & Shad Raps purchased years ago($1.99, $2.50, etc.) that I couldn't even think of replaceing. Thanks for the reply. Go fish and catch a bunch.

Hey Leo! I doubt many people carry more than I can cram into my 16 1/2ft boat :-). Not putting a net on the port(left) side seemed like a safety issue - not just a storage issue - especially in spring when fishing fast water below the dams. When I'm working off the bow, I get up front by going around the left side of the bow mounted seat. With the netting up there on the left also, it tended to catch the lugs in my boots or soles of my shoes. I'm not saying don't put two nets in - I'm just saying if one will serve your purpose, then leave it at that.

Maybe if we combine our fishing equipment and sell, we could retire comfortablly as men of leisure, ha,ha. I told my wife that when I die to sell everything as one package; boat, motor, fishing tackle, etc. No more money problems. Yep, I'm going to put the nets on both sides, I dont generally fish from the bow.
Steve, where are you from in Illinois? I'm from Mt. Prospect, north Chicago suburbs.
