We are looking at moving from my Alumacraft w/25hp tiller to a more leisure-based boat.
Of course, fishing is still in the cards.
The question, how would I go about attaching a bow mount trolling motor to the front of a Sea Ray 180 (looking at one for a pretty reasonable price). There is a fair amount of flat space in the front but not sure if my current MinnKota would fit. Anyone have experience/suggestions?

You are going to need a much longer bowmount to reach the water on the Sea Ray than you did on the small fishing boat.
You will also need a space big enough to mount it.

Go to a dealer and check out fishing boatstrollers already mounted and that will give you an idea how much space is needed for mounting and you can ask about prices to give you a good starting point for prices.
Also while there pick up the brochures on trollers and write down prices on the one you would like right in the pamphlet.

With an 18 ft boat and If I'm not mistaken I think it is a deep V so I would go with a 60" motor 24 volt with this the prop is not coming out of the water on every wave.

I would also use circuit breakers on the batteries instead of fuses also they are much easier to deal with.
