How much is it worth?

My brother in-law passed away this past fall and now my sister has his boat for sale. It's an old fibreglass boat w/60 Johnson and trailer. I believe it's called an x-17 Duo craft. What do you think she should ask for it? Your help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd say depending on age, not much. I regularly see people sell 60's fiberglass boats with old chrysler motors and such sell for under $1000, Sometimes only 3 or 4 hundred. If it's newer it may be more.

jbuck...Sometimes,with a rig like that,it's best to talk to an auctioneer. See if he'll consign it at a future sale and let it go to the highest bidder. What you want is a large crowd and good weather. Good Luck!!!

I just bought a 16' mfg glass boat with a 60hp Johnson with paper graph, CB, 6hp evenr. kicker and tailer for $1800. Boat is a '60, both engines are '67s. However, Boat is in MINT condition, and both engines run like watches. The gentleman that I bought it from was the original owner and absolutly babied it. With that age, so much depends on condition.
