Problems with new server, part 3

Since the switch to the new server, I'm having problems with the board recognizing my user ID. I have to log in each time I access the board, and I can't mark messages as read afterwards. I wonder if the paths to the user data files has changed?

Anybody else having these? Following is the message I get when I click 'Mark'.

Hey Gang,

There may still be a quirk or two. As I say, we will hunt em all down and correct them.

Also, you may need to refresh your computer and browser to clear any old files left on your computer.

Clear your browsers cache and temporary internet files. Also, if a page gives you trouble and refreshing doesnt seem to help, hold down the shift button then click refresh. this will refresh from the server, not your computer. Sometimes that is all it takes.

I'm also curious to know whether ET and I are the only ones experiencing this, or do others not use the Mark messages function??

Dennis/UT here again. I just created a new user and can now mark messages as read. Maybe my old user data was corrupt. With Dennis/UT I couldn't have it display my email address on posts. However, whenever I switch forums, say from General Discussion to Boats and Motors, I have to log in again. Anyone else experiencing this??

Okay, a few more observations. With my previous user account, Gunga Din, I can mark messages as read. AND, I found out that by clicking the forum links on the top of the page require that I log in again to each forum. However, if I click Back and go to the page with all the forums listed, I can click another forum and go right to it without having to log in.

This reminds me of walleye fishing.

Having the same problem. If I use the links at the top of the page I have to log in each time. IF, however, I go back to the "Conferences" forum I can bounce right out of there and back to any of the forums without a problem! ???? - go figure!
