I have a friend that ordered one at the end of may 2002. It still hasnt come in. The dealer ordered it through his connection with Alumacraft, (To get a better price) rather than directly from Yamaha.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Since May 2002. Gee, he is a patient guy! Or his dealer forgot him...Or he may be like some guys I know who don't let the exact truth get in the way of a good story.
;)
There have been thousands of T-8s arrive at dealerships and get sold since May 2002, so, something isn't right, here.

Here in Minnesota just about every Yamaha dealer has a few. Some have lots of them. In January they were hard to get, but now they are pretty plentiful.

That is true for most dealers, because they got those T-8s from their boat companies. Naturally, the boat company doesn't want him hanging that T-8 they got for him, on a boat they did not sell to him.
