What are the advantages (or disadvantage) to using a duel 50-200khz tranducer looking at getting Lowance x88df

Tubby: I have a Lowrance X15MT, and have the Duel transducer. I like it and have had no problems like some others have posted. I Walleye fish LOTW, but also go th Lake Superior, where it's considerably deeper. I would get the duel again..... Kaz

The 50/200 KHz dual transducer has a 37 deg. cone on the 50 KHz beam and 12 deg. cone on the 200 KHz beam. The single 200 KHz transducer has a 21 deg. cone. If you are primarily fishing in less than 150 feet of water the single 200 KHz would suit your needs better.
