The sonar function of my 350A isn't working. The screen is black with neither the digital or bottom printout working. I've had it to my dealer twice, switched transducers and have even used a spare transducer, all with no results. I've rebooted the unit, checked the frequency setting for the transducers and come up with nothing. Reluctantly, I think the problem is in the unit itself. I just went to the Lowrance site and see that they want $250 to repair the unit. Here's my question: What would you do? Send it in for repair and put $250 in a five year old unit, buy a new 350A at the best close out price I can find or buy a new X15. While I'm partial to Lowrance and have always run them, I don't have alot of confidence in the X15 given all of the problems I've read about on this site. Frankly, I think Lowrance introduced the unit a season too early and used the fisherman as their R and D. Are the bugs worked out and is it safe to get the x15. I really don't want to drop a grand into this unit and have problems. For a thousand bucks, I expect it to work properly and without alot of headaches. Thanks for your thoughts.
