Hey guys...

I've got a Pinpoint 3700 on my bow. Something has happened to it. It gives me a depth reading. If I change direction with the foot pedal, the motor turns. If I hit the either of the buttons to start the motor, the prop will not turn. The display on the head of the motor shows that the prop should be going but the prop won't spin. I can free spin the prop by hand.

Any ideas where to start or do I just find a big box to fit it in?

In previous postings there has been mentioning of the Pinpoints
connections not getting proper connection. This has happened to
me a couple of times, especially on wet days. I have solved the
problem by using contact grease on all my connections. Give it
a try. It might be cheap fix.

Ken: I'd be happy to take that pinpoint out of your garage and open up some space for you.

I HAVE 2 3700 AND LOVE THEM. SO FAR SO GOOD KNOCK ON WOOD . DID YOU CHECK THE DRIVE PIN LOCATED UNDER THE PROP. MAKE SURE IT'S THERE AND IT SEATS IN THE SLOT. WHEN YOU HIT THE BUTTON CAN YOU HEAR THE MOTOR SPINNING?

GOOD LUCK HOPE IT'S SOMETHING SIMPLE
