I'm having some problems with the in floor tackle storage system on my new Lund 1900 ProV. It seems like a neat setup but:
The in floor compartment appears to be molded along with the front livewell and is a big plastic bucket. It holds water; there isn't anyway for water to drain. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to mop it out often or what? I'm considering putting a couple holes in the bottom and letting it drain into the bilge.
The boxes are held vertically on edge rather than laying flat. This is nice for having access to each individual box but they might as well make them without compartments because the stuff will migrate to the bottom eventually. There needs to be a stiffer lid or a design where the compartments are intended to be set on side. This is for things like jigs and snaps and hooks and swivels... If you keep crankbaits in these trays then I think you will be OK. Which leads me to:
I like the larger plano waterproof boxes for crankbaits. These just barely do not fit.
I guess I'm looking for other thoughts...
