Thanks, guys! Following some advice received on this board, we extended our Minnesota vacation by a day and fished 'the big pond'. We stayed overnight at McQuoids lodge, then went out Friday with Aaron McQuoid as guide. He put us on some real nice fish. Between my boy, the guide and I we landed 27 walleyes, a couple smallies, and a pesky perch or two. The walleyes were of real nice size, most of them over-slot. We kept a few of the slots and had a fine dinner at Mac's Twin Bay. The thrill for the day was watching a huge musky follow one of the hooked 'eyes to the boat!
Really want to thank Aaron for being such a fine guide, he was very patient with me and got along great with Jon. Jon will remember this trip for a long time, and it is the most fish I've caught in a day since my teen years flying into Canada. Also want to thank the people on this board for all their advice, it helped. m
