I JUST BOUGHT A 21 TUNDRA WITH A 225 OPTI, WHAT A GREAT BOAT SO FAR! MY QUESTION IS WHAT PROP ARE OTHER GUYS RUNNING AND WHAT ARE THEY GETTING FOR SPEED AND RPM'S. ALSO, I AM CURIOUS WHICH BOLT HOLE LOCATION THEY HAVE FOUND IS THE BEST.

Steve, glad you like the boat. When you get it out in 3'+ seas, you're going to see what it can really do. I'm running the same setup as you and I've done quite a bit of prop testing. The best results are with the motor mounted in the middle hole and either a Tempest 21 or a High-Five 23. The Tempest is little faster, the High-Five has a little more control. Best Speed I've seen is 60.1 GPS running downriver at Redwing with two guys and gas in cold air. I'm getting 58 GPS on flat water with the Tempest turning 5600 RPMS(70 Degrees @ 1600 ft) fully loaded. Good Luck, Jim Carroll NPAA #588

THANKS JIM FOR THE FEED BACK. I AM RUNNING A 23 HIGH FIVE RIGHT NOW, BUT ONLY TURNING 5200 RPM. THE MOTOR IS IN THE MIDDLE POSITION AND I GET 55.5 GPS SPEED (LOADED BOAT). I MOVED THE MOTOR DOWN ONE HOLE AND NOW I AM GETTING 57.5. (SEEMS LIKE BETTER BOW LIFT AND CONTROL) BUT STILL ONLY TURNING 52-5300. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
