just wondering why you don't see torque ratings advertized. I know that in automobiles, torque plays a huge role and engines with similar hp ratings can have vastly different max torque ratings and very different ratings at different RPM's.
Is torque as important in a marine outboard as it is in automobile engines and if so, how do you find out what the various ratings are? I'd be curious to see some graphs of various outboards at the same hp and have them plot the hp and torque numbers throughout the RPM range.
Any thoughts?
