Just wondering what people are thinking about this. I am waiting to buy a 75HP until this comes out. I dont want to buy a 4stroke or Ficht until I know if this is going to be better or not. It sure sounds interesting. Bass and Walleye boat magazine has a story about E-Tec in every month for the past three months.

Sounds too good to be true doesn't it??? I learned my lesson when DFI came out. Bought the first year model. I will wait 3 or 4 years after introduction before jumping in.

What do you guys think about the batteryless system the new E-Tec is supposed to have, souds very similar to Arctic-Cat's batteryless EFI system. One pull charges the system, second pull fires it right up...

I recently had breakfast with a Bombardier Technical Sales Rep that does a lot of the warrenty work for the tournement series boats ie. PWT RCL ECT... He said that the motor is a great motor and the Bombardier had reworked everything back into the specs that OMC was supposed to have but so there should and will be no more problems like there were with the Ficht motors. After about 2 hr worth of chit chat I learnt quite a bit of info on what is to come and what isn't. He was a super guy to talk to!! I can vouge that he isn't a sales man becasue he said the competion has some good motors out there too!!
