View Full Version : Great Customer Support from Reeds Sportings Goods!

Just wanted to let you know that Reeds Sporting Goods has great customer service. Late this Spring I purchased a 12 volt sealed battery for my Vexilar FL-8 fish locator. The battery would not hold a charge after repeated charging attempts with my battery charger. Checked charger with volt meter and charger was working fine as did other older batteries I had.

I called Jeff at Reeds Sportings Goods and he said to return the battery. This last week I received a new replacment battery which is fully charged and a packing slip indicating "no charge".

Reeds Sporting Goods truely understands the meaning of Customer Service and fully stands behind the products they sell!

On the flip side I tried to buy a pike combo from them on the internet, They called my house and claimed they could not read the credit card number and wanted my wife to give it to them over the phone. My wife said not over the phone and they got very rude with her and called 4 more times. They would not take no for a answer and told us to forget about the pole. They will never get my buisness again. Glad you got what you paid for.

Ordered a motorguide from them cuz the dude on the phone said they had it in stock and it would be at my house the end of the week. Ended up getting a sticky note from them that the motor was on back order with the manufacturer. Called the manufacturer to double check and they told me Reeds never ordered the motor at all.

I hate liars.

Bass Pro ended up getting my money.

I ordered decoys from them and they sent me the whle wrong order, and they didn't even know the difference between cans and redheads, or bluebill and ringneck. They also sent me 6 mags instead of 12 standards... Was promised a call back from their fearless leader, but it never came.

I know have dekes I didn't order but paid for... oh well, at least it wasn't a lot of $$... :)

I'm glad those who do get good service are happy, and hope it coninutes - but I'll spend my $$ at Joes or Cabelas.

They told me that they had Abu-Garcia Eon reels in stock. That was in March. I still haven't received it. Now they tell me the reel is on back order. I don't know when I'll receive it!!

dave, thanks for trying to share a positive experience. i have had similar, outstanding experience with the guys at Reeds. they truly understand customer service.
