Does the x65 and x85 have the same transducer?

Yes, and make sure you use HS-WSBK 20 degree transducer.

Hey Tim, If your looking for differences between the two models, I'd look at the watts they use to send their signal to the bottom. I think a big difference, and you see it in price too. The money in my opinion is well worth it. Not sure why you asked about the transducer so won't "sell" anymore. Link

I have an X-85 with the 20 degree transducer. I am considering also get the 50 kHz transducer, I believe it has a 34 degree angle, to help with salmon fishing. Have any of you guys tried installing the 50 kHz on an X-85, can I use both at the same time- you know, switching back and forth, but both mounted and hooked up?

Thanks...Tony

P.S. (took a 10 lb steelhead 2 weeks ago off Oscoda. Running deep diving husky jerk, blue back smelt finish, 120 ft back of my planar boards in 105 fow at 7:30 am. Best tasting, best fighting fresh water fish, and prettiest to boot!)

I have both of them in my boat but would like to switch them around and have my X85 up front, sounds like I can switch them with any trouble right

Yeah Tim, You can swap em back and forth. I too have 1 of each on my boat. I've put the 85 upfront a couple of times when jigging.
