i sent in the unit they charged me $200 to replace it with a rebuilt unit they even transfered over my waypoints it took about 2.5 weeks but it seems like a new unit and better then buying one of there new models what might have happened to mine was keeping it on the boat while traveling (vibration)and when it was in the driveway (heat) i also now keep my way point coordinates in my fishing log so if this ever happens again i wont have to worry about losing my waypoints
