I am replacing a blown Johnson 175 Ficht (1998). I am looking at a new 2003 Johnson 175. Anyone out there have comment on the quality of this motor?

That year had some major (hit or miss) problems. And Bombardier knows it. Give them a call and see if they can offer a deal on a new power head. Try the old "I liked this motor but am considering brand x as a replacement. I just don't know if I can trust John/Rude?" They just might make you a deal. As for the 2003, they are supposed to be great motors.
