anybody know any brand of boat that has a fiberglass fish & ski that has the layout of crestliner sportfish or lund tyee. as for layout i mean similar depth, width, room inside, large livewells. as for wishing for the perfect fish & ski, my kids would like a bolt-on, easy
removable wakeboard tower. would also need a rear casting platform like the sportfish & tyee have. i can't seem to find anyone who makes such an animal. i think if someone did they would sell a ton of them.
thanks in advance for any info

I have a Procraft 200 combo this is a fish and ski that i feel has the same amount of room as a lund it has alot deeper sides than a Ranger fish and ski and a Nitro Plus it is very easy to fish out of with plenty of storage. I looked at alot of different ones before I bought this one it is a 1996 20ft with a 200 Mariner.

See the new issue of Bass & Walleye Boats for a review of a Ranger Fish and Ski.
At another extreme, look at a Glastron Ski and Fish model. They're not much for angling, but they at least are honest about it.
Almost every glass builder offers a family-fiendly fish and ski. Look at a bunch of different brands, and balance your desires against those of other family members. Interior layout is everything, most of the hulls are identical to that brand's runabout or purebred fishing boats.

Look at the Bayliner 184. I know what everyone going to say about "Bayliner" but i have owned my 184 Ski and Fish for 3 years and haven't had one bit of problem with it. Mine is rigged with a 125 Mercury. It pulls 2 tubers and a skier with ease. Top end with family of 4 and gear is about 43mph. Great boat and easy to fish out of. Has a livewell, although no bait well. You aren't going to find a better priced boat for the money. I think Bayliner has dramatically improved their quality in the past few years and like any other boat, if you take care of it it will last a long time. Also comes with removable bow and stern cushions, ski pylon and front and rear pedestal chairs. Great Boat.

The Ranger Reatta is a nice choice. A good friend of mine has one!!! Not bad to fish out but works well for the maily. Only recomendation, LOSE the 5-Blade prop that comes standard if you plan on taking the boat on any lake/river with sizable waves.

I just was at a dealer picking up a part and saw a 18' Smokercraft Cobra. It has a 96" beam, rated for 175hp, 2 jump seats in back that looked like they were removable, seat base on a rear deck, 2 livewells-baitwells, and a stereo radio. The one I saw has a 115 Merc 4 stroke. Boat, motor and trailer-$20,000.

Best one for the money is the Procraft.
The deepest one I've seen is the Triton 21 SF.

Both are nice, but the Procraft is WAY more affordable. I think the 20'er lists around $22,000 with a 200hp! Pretty good. Check out www.procraftboats.com

You said FISH and SKI, If you want fiberglass with room inside, look at the warriors. I've been in alot of ski boats, used for fishing also, and found they are very short of room in the back for the skiing necessities. I think warrior has the best lay-out for xtra room in the back, fishing or skiing.

Take care,

Brad
