I got an alarm on my 2003 HPDI. The one you get when the oil is low or the water pump is clogged. Well, the water uptake was blocked by some weeds. So, I got it cleared and the alarm no longer was sounding. I have good water flow but my Pressure is not getting up to where it usually does. The motor is limiting my RPM's to 2600 now. Does this mean something is still blocking the water pump? Any thought? Thanks

Someone must have an answer. If something is blocking my water line or clogging the water pump, how do you get it out? Is flushing it the only way?

Scott,
I have an 2003 250 HPDI (in the shop with the service updates being done) and it has a water flush out line on the motor. Is your motor the V-Max? Didn't know that they made a 225 HPDI in the saltwater series in 2003.
If you don't have the flush out line or that your water pressure doesn't come back to normal I would definately take it back to the dealer to have it checked out. Not worth causing more damage to a very expensive motor. Good luck with your motor.

It does have a cooling system flush and I did that. Got my water pressure back up now. Thanks
